S.O.R.G. Annual Meeting 2016

Only one day after the official inauguration of the brand-new visitor center “KLS Martin World” in Tuttlingen/Germany, the S.O.R.G. group met for their Annual Meeting 2016 as a first big scientific event between January 21st and 23rd. The S.O.R.G. course on “Comprehensive Patient-Specific Approaches in OMF Surgery” chaired by Prof. Jürgen Hoffmann with 135 participants from 11 countries featuring an experienced faculty providing excellent lectures was completed by live video streaming of surgical interventions from the ORs at the University Hospital Heidelberg with the possibility of interactive exchange of information between the surgeons and the audience.

The course day was followed on Friday by the S.O.R.G. R&D Forum chaired by Prof. Peter Kessler during which young researchers in the field of Oral-Craniomaxillofacial Surgery were given the opportunity to inform about their scientific projects and results. As usual, the 3-day meeting was officially concluded by the S.O.R.G. General Assembly with reports on the association’s past and future activities all over the world. All participants were impressed and full of enthusiasm about KLS Martin World as ideal and modern platform for the training and educational purposes, also for S.O.R.G.
